Meet guest editor David Tredrea, writing on “Health really matters – for the security professional”

I have an MSc (Commendation) in change management and other postgraduate qualifications in health, education and psychology. My specialist skills in mental health trauma and other clinical rapid responses were honed during 10 yrs Africa war zones with leadership in the UN, Red Cross, WHO, World Bank, Police and Embassies. This followed 6 years UK research in burns and bomb trauma. An ardent team player and mediator, regarded by peers as utterly reliable, focused, tenacious and dynamic – especially when consensus is required through active debate and logical argument. Activity with many UK and International Boards and complex Regulators has enriched personal competencies, especially when difficult challenges, distractions and conflicts require wisdom to produce durable solutions. Enhanced Level 2 Police vetted.
